Experience
Jonathan Christie, OD, is a staff optometrist at the Jules Stein Eye Institute. He maintains responsibility for optometric services at the UCLA Laser Refractive Center, providing pre- and post-operative care for refractive surgery patients. He has an active research interest in advanced vision correction, and participates as a co-investigator in the center's clinical trials.

Dr. Christie received his optometry degree from The New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts, where he participated in the Clinical Scholar's Program for clinically advanced students. After receiving his degree, he completed a residency training program at two VA Centers in Massachusetts acquiring specialized skills in pre- and post- operative management of laser assisted in-situ keratomileusis (LASIK) patients. Dr. Christie has provided optometric care to patients in hospitals and private practice and has authored papers in his field. His professional affiliations have included membership in the American Optometric Association, American Academy of Optometry, Volunteer Optometric Service to Humanity, California Optometric Association and Massachusetts Society of Optometrists.
